Urban Kayaking Adventure: From Mustikkamaa to the City
A kayaking trip from Mustikkamaa to the urban landscape is a fantastic way to experience Helsinki’s blend of cityscapes and natural beauty from the water. The route combines serene archipelago scenery, bustling urban views, and historical landmarks, offering a diverse experience for both beginners and seasoned paddlers.
The journey merges Helsinki’s city skyline, maritime nature, and sheltered waterways, making it a perfect adventure for all skill levels. Along the way, you will experience the gentle movement of the water, the vibrant city atmosphere, and hidden pockets of nature.
Tour Details
During this three-hour kayaking trip, you will paddle at a relaxed pace alongside an experienced kayaking guide and a small group. We take short breaks, floating in our kayaks to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Bring plenty of water, and feel free to bring a small snack, such as energy bars or nuts, for an extra boost.
Difficulty level: Suitable for both beginners and experienced kayakers. The pace is calm, but participants must know how to swim. The minimum age requirement is 13 years. We use beginner-friendly kayaks, with the largest kayak having a weight limit of 110 kg.
Starting point: Laguuni Water Sports Center, Mustikkamaantie 8, 00570 Helsinki
Time: Wednesdays & Saturdays 13:45–16:45, from early June to late August
Group size: Maximum 8 participants per group
Guides: Professional, trained instructors
Included in the price: Professional guidance, kayak, pfd, paddle and sprayskirt and good vibes

What to bring: Comfortable sportswear and a water bottle. Expect some splashing, so bringing a change of clothes is recommended. On sunny days, don’t forget a hat and sunscreen!
